The New Year started with TeN and Knowledge Capital Services launching their Campus to Industry solution for Indian colleges and Universities. TeN which is located in Koramangala, Bangalore has already implemented the e-learning solution at IIITB. TeN Trans-e replaces MS Share point 2001 at Wipro
TeN has bagged the prestigious order of replacing MS Share point 2001 at Wipro Infotech. Wipro evaluated TeN Trans-e and decided on this replacement. TeN would use the .Net version of its’ product for the final implementation.


TeN implements TeN iLMS at University of Groningen, Netherlands
TeN has been selected to implement its’ TeN iLMS solution at the University of Groningen. TeN iLMS would be the e-learning platform for students of the university. The University is also planning to roll out the solution to its’ subsidiary universities

Indian School of Business Hyderabad to use TeN Acado for its portal initiative:

Hyderabad based Indian School of Business (www.isb.edu) is a research-led institution and offers high-quality postgraduate, executive and doctoral programmes for students from all over the world. ISB, an independent management institution, aims to groom future generations of business leaders. ISB had recently implemented TeN Acado. ISB chose TeN Acado after evaluation a number of solutions both Indian and multi national. The major factors that tilted the decision in favour of TeN Acado include low Total Cost of Ownership, product features and flexibility and a credible list of satisfied customers.

The ISB has formal affiliations with The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and London Business School (LBS). ISBÂ’s Governing Board consists of heads of Fortune 500 companies, extremely successful entrepreneurs and leading academicians.
ISB envisions Acado to become the single interface for the user community. Acado will be the framework on which solutions for all other requirements will be provided.


Ashok Leyland to introduce Executive e-Training using TeN Acado :

Ashok Leyland, one of India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers has placed an order for TeN Acado. This platform will power the e-Training initiative of this forward-looking organization.

Ashok Leyland has over 12,000 people with the company operations spread throughout India and abroad. Providing continuous training to their executives so that they are equipped to offer the best to their customers has always been a challenge to the organization. With Internet access being possible from almost all parts of the country, the Ashok Leyland Management Development Centre (MDC) decided on implementing e-Training and after careful study chose TeN Acado to power this initiative. The MDC has been used by many reputed companies for their training programs and corporate meetings.


TeN CTO Manjul Sahay presents TeN products and solutions at Sun IERC :

Mr. Manjul Sahay shared the dias at Sun Microsystems IERC (India Education and Research Conference) with speakers from Sun. The conference which is being held for the first time in India was attended by about 200 academics and researchers in Chennai on 1st April 03 and by about 150 at Delhi on 3rd April 03.

TeN's products and solutions were appreciated and many in the audience evinced interest in working with TeN. The other speakers included Mr. Dinesh Bahal, Director,Global Education & Research, Sun Microsystems; Mr. Andrew Lim, Regional Director, Education & Research, Sun Microsystems; Mr. Ganesh Mahabala National Sales Manager, Education & Research, Sun Microsystems. Dr. Srivathsan,Director, IIITM-K, Trivandrum delivered the keynote address at the Chennai IERC.

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre implements TeN Trans-e:

VSSC, the largest department under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), engaged in the development of Sounding Rockets, Launch Vehicles and Space Craft Sub-systems will be building an Intranet Knowledge Portal using TeN Trans-e. VSSC will be implementing all modules of TeN Trans-e in a phased manner and will be using it as an integration platform for various application softwares running at VSSC. TeN is proud to be associated with India's most prestigious R&D organization.


Vellore Institute of Technology opts for TeN Acado:
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has chosen TeN Acado to power their e learning initiative. The facility will be extended to 6,000 users at VIT. The institute founded in 1984 was recognized as a Deemed University by the University Grants Commission in 2001. Promoted by the North Arcot Educational and Charitable Trust, it is headed by the founder, G. Viswanathan, a former parliamentarian and a Minister in the Tamilnadu Government.


Kerala Educational Grid project kicks -off on TeN Acado:

The Kerala Education Grid is an ambitious project aimed at improving the quality of education in Colleges & Universities across Kerala by creating a network of institutions (Grid). Online education per-se leverages computer based content and collaboration tools to facilitate understanding of courses. The concept involves setting up of nodal centers (called Resources Centers) in some major colleges that take up content development activities, initially for certain common engineering courses. These content will then be made available through appropriate channels, in this case an online internet backbone to students in 40 colleges in the first year (and 100 in subsequent years). These 40 colleges will have a small cyber-cafe kind of set up for allowing students to access these online contents.
Kerala Education Grid will be built on TeN Acado Grid Server. This version of TeN Acado has been designed to enable distributed, synchronized, multi-Server network of e-Learning, Digital Library and Academic Portal network.

IIIM-k selects TeN Acado platform for its e-MBA program :
TeN Acado has been selected through an open tender by IIM-K(Indian Institue of Management Kozhikode) to provide the e-learning software platform for their eMEP program. With this order, TeN will now be a party to the IIM-K Hughes Direcway e-Learning run executive-MBA program. TeN has bagged this order after out-competing various leading national & international vendors, by providing the best value-for-money offer. TeN will also be hosting the solution on its servers and provide a 24X7 support for this IIM-K implementation.

Cochin University shifts to TeN Acado from Blackboard
There has been a major change in Cochin University's (CUSAT) e-learning process, wherein they have successfully migrated from Blackboard platform to TeN Acado. All courses available on Blackboard have been ported to Acado.

A workshop was organized by TeN for the e-Learning core group members of CUSAT in the presence of Dr. Ellen Sjoer, Delft University of Technology, Netherland who is coordinating the project. Some of the courses ported and now running on Acado are -- Object Oriented Technologies; Biomass Conversion; History of Science & Technology; Conformation Analysis; Human Computer Interaction etc.

Officials at CUSAT foresee extensive usage of Acado in the current academic year which started in July '03.


Sterlite chooses TeN Digital Library:

Indian metal giant Sterlite group (annual turnover US$1.5 Bn), well diversified into Copper, Aluminium smelting and refining telecommunication cables - Optic Fiber and Jelly filled telecommunication cables has opted for TeN Digital Library as a part of internal Knowledge Enhancement initiative. Its offices all over the world are networked and information shared on-line for fast and effective decision-making.

IIITB shows confidence in TeN Acado- Deal clinched for e-learning implementation

The Bangalore based IIITB has chosen TeN Acado for it’s e-learning initiative. IIITB is a new generation Graduate School focusing on ALL aspects of Information Technology. The institute attracts very high quality students; in turn eminent faculty members have joined the Institute. T0 cater to the growing market in Delhi and other parts, a branch office was opened in Delhi recently. This office will be the sales and support office for northern part of the county. With a growing enquiry for it’s products and customers being added up on a regular basis, TeN felt the need to have an office in Delhi.

TeN Acado implemented at TC Medical Council:

Travancore Cochin Medical Council along with Kerala Dental Council and Kerala Nursing Council will have an Advanced Medical Council Portal with Groupware, CME, & Medical Awareness Information dissemination project. The portal will run on TeN Acado with e-Learning solution as the core.

TeN bags IIT Madras order
TeN has bagged the e-learning implementation project from IIT Madras. TeN will implement it’s TeN Acado, the recently launched product. This product has lately been making waves in the market with customers showing active interest in this product.

TeN gets a premier customer- IIM Ahmedabad:

TeN has added IIM-Ahmedabad to its client list. IIM-A, India's leading business school will be using the Acado product from TeN for course creation and management to supplement its classroom learning.

TeN Acado beats competition at IISc:

In its unique quest to build a wide range of premier ACADO users, TeN Acado becomes fully operational at IISc as an e-Learning Platform. TeN Acado was chosen over other competitors for it’s completeness and flexibility of use & customization. With this implementation, IISc joins the elite club of TeN Acado users.

TeN participates in and sponsors CSI Knowledge Management Seminar:

TeN co-sponsors a seminar on "Affordable IT Solutions through Knowledge Management & Data Warehousing" conducted by Hosur Chapter of CSI at Ashok Leyland MDC on 20th and 21st of September. Dr. K.R. Srivasthan, Director, IIITM-K was the Chief Guest. Many known KM visionaries like Dr. V.B. Kaujaligi, Professor and Surendra Paul Chairperson in Systems at IIM-B spoke during the seminar. Dr. Anurag Srivastav, Chief Knowledge and Technology Officer of Wipro and Dr. V.P. Kochikar, CTO of Infosys presented case studies on how their organizations went for implementing KM in their respective organizations. What was striking was that almost all functions adopted by them could be achieved by implementing TeN Trans-e. TeN also gave an hour-long presentation on TeN Trans-e and TeN Acado. Most of the participating organizations have shown interest in knowing more about the products.
